Cabin at the camping site

Ameib has a camping site close to the guesthouse, also known as the Nature camp. It is fenced off against wild animals and big trees offer shade.
There are numerous sites available, each with a concrete base for tents and barbeque facility. Some sites also have picnic areas.
There is also a swimming pool with bio filter directly at the camping site, as well as hot showers and toilets in the recently renovated ablution block. In the ablution block you will also find dish washing sinks and a power point.
Another Power point for all campers is found in the centre of the Nature camp.
Bundles of wood can be bought at the reception.
Ameib has NO camping gear available for renting.

Camping Prices 2025 (Per person per night)
N$ 220,-

The new “Leadwood” Campsites (operated by Lewo Safaris) - two exclusive campsites situated near the guesthouse - can also be booked through Ameib Guesthouse & Camping. The Leadwood Campsites - Leadwood Umbretta Camp and Leadwood Explorer Camp - offer camping between gigantic rock boulders underneath big Ana and Acacia Trees (Leadwood Umbretta) or along a massive granite “wall” (Leadwood Explorer) with private shower and toilet each. The Leadwood Umbretta Camp offers space for a maximum of two vehicles and up to 8 people. The Leadwood Explorer Camp is more spacious and offers space for up to 4 vehicles. The Leadwood Campsites are 3 km from Ameib Guesthouse & Camping and only accessible with a 4x4 (no trailers or caravans at Umbretta).

The camping fees also includes the conservation fee and access to the tourist attractions.
An EMNS levy is payable additionally (N$ 10,- per person per night).
Ameib Guesthouse & Camping is open daily from 08:00-18:00.
